Pure Aesthetics

Kaelen Johnson has worked in the health and medical spa industry since 1993 providing herbal wraps, body treatments, facials, cosmetic applications, laser hair removal, and corrective makeup procedures. Her aesthetic experience includes almost 15 years at Canyon Ranch Spa and over 5 years at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort Spa. She has also been an educator for Essensa, an exclusive line of organic skincare products. Her training includes an apprenticeship with Bliss Spa, New York. In 2012, Kaelen was invited to Saudi Arabia to evaluate a school seeking accreditation. Kaelen holds aesthetician licenses in both Arizona and New York in addition to an aesthetics instructor license in Arizona. She has spoken at national skincare conferences as well as written articles for industry trade magazines. Kaelen's passion since the early nineties has been seeking out truly natural products. Her desire to increase awareness of ecological responsibility and holistic approaches to health and well-being led her to open Pure Aesthetics.

Lindsay has been with Pure Aesthetics since April 2008. Lindsay has taken on many different roles at Pure Aesthetics, from receptionist to administrative assistant to most recently office manager. She works in an administrative capacity and oversees daily operations of the school. Lindsay has developed a strong interest in natural products since she began working at Pure Aesthetics and enjoys sharing her knowledge with our clients.

Sarah is our resident financial aid expert. Her experience in student services and financial aid dates back to 2005. Students are encouraged to visit with Sarah if they have questions or concerns in regards to their education at Pure Aesthetics so that they may have the best school experience possible. Sarah enjoys seeing our students achieve success in their chosen career paths.

Kimberly holds a deep passion for natural, holistic health of both human beings and their environment. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003 with a joint degree in Psychology and Environmental Science, and has continued to explore this connection of people and place in her career ever since. She is licensed as a massage therapist from the Providence Institute in Tucson. Joining Pure Aesthetics in December of 2009, Kimberly enjoys being part of a caring team of people that supports beauty inside and out - and respects Mother Nature in the process!

Rebecca has been licensed in the beauty industry since 1986 and has worked as an instructor since 2002. She has practiced aesthetics in various settings including physicians’ offices, skincare studios, med spas, and in private practice. Rebecca has been trained in 25 different skincare lines, including a medical skincare line for which she was a skin health counselor. Rebecca is trained in many advanced modalities including LASER hair removal, electrolysis, bioelectric rejuvenation, and plasma ablation, as well as makeup artistry. Rebecca strongly believes in continuing education for herself and her students.

Rachel combines a background in education with a dedication to natural skincare to provide the best quality training possible for our students. She has practiced aesthetics in various settings, including an alternative healthcare center, a day spa and a full service salon. Rachel continues to expand her expertise and is committed to professional growth and a pure, natural approach to skincare.

Jae enjoys helping students find their ideal career path as our admissions advisor. Jae guides prospective students through the admissions process and helps them to overcome any obstacles impeding their future success. Jae has a background in Psychology and Women's Studies. In her spare time she is a freelance photographer; in fact she shot the staff photos on our website.

Kris is delighted to have recently joined Pure Aesthetics. In 2009, she spent a month in Jaipur, India researching the origins of the ideals of feminine beauty represented in Sanskrit literature and symbolism in henna and miniature painting. This experience gave her a deep appreciation of the connection between the inner and outer self, and the importance of nurturing both. She has over a decade of customer service experience, and also works as the office assistant at the Sonoran Glass Art Academy.

Sarah graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Finance and International Business. She started an online company her senior year, which allowed her some freedom to travel after graduation. After spending six months in Hawaii, she became very interested in natural solutions to health and how nutrition affects people. She is currently studying Nutritional Therapy and is passionate about beauty from the inside out.
